Parking Lot Purse
While out shopping, we found a purse in the parking lot with everything in it. Going through the purse we found a drivers license with the address and name of the owner. We found a phone number using
an iPhone app, and after two hours of calling, the owner answered and agreed to meet at our house.
She arrived after 9:00pm and we gave her the purse and a Love Card. She tried to
give us a check, but we refused and told her we were Christians and wanted no reward. We asked if we could pray with her for anything and she said yes. She was a widow and had lost her husband three
years ago to the day and asked us to pray for help coping during this time because it was hard on her. We know we touched her life. Praise God!

Our church attenders have been challenged and equipped to reach out with acts of random kindness (ARK) in their communities. This isn't a service, so we want nothing in return. Don't expect any phone calls, donation requests, sales pitches, bible verses, converstions; nothing. It's absolutley 100% FREE with no strings attached!

Great Work! Isn't it amazing how easy it was?
Pastors, lay leaders and ordinary Christ-followers are discovering the power and impact of showing God's love in practical ways. Who doesn't like to be given a cold drink on a hot day? Especially by someone who is smiling, happy and having fun. Servant Evangelism wins the heart before it confronts the mind. A small act of kindness nudges a person closer to God, often in a profound way as it bypasses ones mental defenses.

Presentation Popcorn
I was taking a website development class at Moraine Valley and for the final exam we had to do a presentation of our website. I paper clipped one of the Love Cards to each bag of popcorn and as a person finished their presentation they were to take one.
Well the professor told the class that the popcorn was “courtesy of me and my church”. I was surprised she said the church, you know how schools are. Even more of a surprise was that every time a student would forget to take a bag, she would again say “don’t forget your bag of popcorn courtesy of Christian Hills Church”. She must have said that eight or ten times. What a simple way to impact my fellow students.

A Timely Gift
Thank you so much for the $50 Walmart gift card!!! I have been laid off from my job in September and am struggling to make ends meet as well as taking care of two ill parents. Thanks to your unexpected gift my family was able to have a nice Christmas Dinner. I do believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and he does truly work in mysterious ways.
